Deng Qiqi, a blind boy who often plays the erhu on local streets, performs at Shenzhen Children’s Palace on Saturday.

    Deng Qiqi, a blind boy who often plays the erhu on local streets, performs at Shenzhen Children’s Palace on Saturday. Deng, 15, was attracted to the erhu in 2004 in his hometown of Bozhou in Anhui Province. He came to Shenzhen with his mother in 2009 and was discovered by Xu Xia, art director at Shenzhen Concert Hall. Deng has given a number of performances since 2011.
